Mayor George Fontaine and Deputy Mayor Alison Dallas Funk were the guests on the final program of City Beat for 2025 and they talked about the various challenges and difficulties our community faced the past year.
Mayor Fontaine also talked about a lot of the accomplishments and some exciting news for the year ahead. " If you go to the Campground area, there is a neat thing going on there, and it is shut down right now but still worth a walk for everybody. They are talking about a proto type for a Snow Hotel . It is a tourism boost for the community. It is going to be really neat and involve a lot of artists and outdoors people by the time it is done. They had snow made by Big Ice and then Ross Industries. There is a form built and they have started pushing snow up against the form to show how it works. There are ice cuts, so if you are walking around the area, you should drop in to see it."
