Something to look forward to in Flin Flon  for  2026 will be the opening of the new Snow Lodge by the Rotary Wheel.

The City of Flin Flon’s Crystal Kolt is excited to be able to offer this to the community to help celebrate Winter. " We are going to be having the grand opening at the end of January on the 30th. So there is going to be wonderful events that are going to be coordinated by the Events Coordinator Ainsley McIntosh Stallard. There has been a team of people and businesses to make this possible. Big Ice,  we couldn't of done this without them with the snow making and all the help with that. The City Of Flin Flon with the camp ground and snow machine and Rekiance stepped in and helped."

Work started about a week ago and it will continue first thing in the new year. The  weekend will mark the beginning of an exciting new winter tradition in the North — a celebration of community, culture, creativity, and winter tourism right here in Flin Flon.

To kick off the Snow Lodge journey the City will be hosting a festival style weekend featuring local vendors, arts and performers, story tellers and cultural experiences, community programs and lots of volunteer opportunities.
