Flin Flon Mayor George Fontaine, Deputy Mayor Alison Dallas Funk, CEO Joy Capyk and Councillor Mike Slipp recently attended the Association of Manitoba  Municipalities conference in Winnipeg.

It was an opportunity to meet with many different Ministers and listen to various speakers. Mike Slipp  shares the details on what was covered. " We met with the RCMP talking about the issues here in the Flin Flon area. We got the chance to listen to a lot of good speakers and finished off with a fantastick meeting with the Premier of the province Wab Canoe. We talked about Arts and Culture in the North, issues that effect Flin Flon and regionality, preparing for wildfires with that season coming up around the corner."

The meeting ended with members of council presenting the Premier with a Flin Flon Bomber jersey on behalf of the City Of Flin Flon. The City will have more information from the AMM at the next Council meeting on Tuesday night and the City Beat Show this Wednesday on 102.9 CFAR.
