Flin Flon City Council Is Working With The Province Of Saskatchewan

Deputy Mayor Alison Dallas Funk and Councillor Mike Slipp were guests on the CFAR City Beat program last week.

May topics were discussed including a grant that Flin Flon  City Council is working on with the Province of Saskatchewan, as we hear more from Alison Dallas Funk. " So the chift we granted for this year, hopefully we are succesful is for 16 million dollars and it is infrastructure upgrades. So that is your lift stations and your water works. So that would be from Eddies Family Foods to Super K, if you do that big circle. It is really important we are there because if they  don't see us they are not going to think about us,  and we have 211 people there. We saw this past summer, not having a mutual agreement between the provinces is certainly not beneficial to all our communities."

Other items that were discussed included initiatives that are happening on Flin Flon’s Main Street , including the new lighting, new bus shelters around town and Council is close to finalizing their decision on the Pine Avenue Bridge.
