The Denare Beach Winter Festival is coming up next weekend February 21st and 22nd.  Recreation Director Laurie Stomp says some events require early registration.  She says they have a chili cook off so they’d like to know who makes the best chili and also the ice and snow sculpture contest is another pre-festival activity that will have to be called in. She says they’ll be starting Friday night off with their roast beef buffet supper and they have a lot of things going on after including the Denare Beach Kids Got Talent contest and the kids will have to pre-register either that night or by calling the Recreation Office.

Stomp adds they’ll also have their fun turkey curling and music featuring local musicians on Friday night.  She says on Saturday they start with a pancake breakfast, horse drawn wagon rides, family snowmobile poker derby and other events ending with their winterfest social featuring Moon Bath.
