It is Substance Use and Addictions Awareness Week across the province including Flin Flon and Creighton and there are lots of events to attend here in our communities.
Christa McIntire shares what they have planned. " We are happy to have a presentation called How To Talk To Your Kids about alcohol and drugs. It is going to be an informal presentation with Keely Patterson the Community Addictions Worker from Shared Health presenting. So it is going to be the same presentation happening on November 19th at the Women's Resource Centre at 1:30. It will also happen at McIsaac School at 1:30 on November 20th, and November the 21st at the Ruth Betts School Family Room at 9am."
There is also a fun event scheduled for Thursday November the 20th at the Youth Centre between 5 and 6:30 pm with lots of great prizes and a free public skate at the Sportex on Saturday November the 22nd from 6:30 to 8pm.
You can also listen in for a radio contest on 102.9 CFAR throughout the week and have a chance to win a $50.00 gift certificate from local restaurants. There will be two chances to win each day this week.
