Community Futures Greenstone presented the Infusion Entrepreneurship Conference last week at the Flin Flon Community Hall.

 

Among the highlights was the Business Excellence Awards for 2025. The Flin Flon & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Community Futures Greenstone  selected this year’s business honorees’ based on nominations, criteria, leadership, integrity and community.

 

Two awards were presented including home business Untamed Acres out of Denare Beach with proprietor Delaine Parker. Untamed Acres Kitchen brings the heart of home cooking to busy families across our region. What began as the Parker family’s dream of living close to nature has blossomed into a thriving home-based business rooted in connection, creativity, and community. 

 

The other winner was for Brick and Mortar, Ross Industries and Big Ice in Creighton with proprietors , Ray and Paul Rossington.

 

Ross Industries can build and create pretty much anything for mining, construction, forestry and more … and Big Ice – Manufacturing, Services and Heavy Haul, which operate under the umbrella of Ross Industries – builds ice roads, ice pads, bridge and  sets up remote camps.
