The Manitoba Heavy Construction Industry is hosting a Northern Expo in Thompson February 25th and 26th.  One of the organizers Peter Paulic says it’s the first of its kind in the north. He says it’s three days of courses, a conference and training focusing on vocational professional human resources, safety and education training and the development of the heavy construction workforce especially here in the north.

Paulic says in the near future there will be opportunities for people to get jobs on construction projects all across the province as well as in the north on projects such as hydro dams and bipole three.  He says people from all across the north are urged to attend the expo and you can register at www.mhca.mb.ca or call the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association at 204-947-1379.
