The Mamawetan Churchill River Regional Health Authority that includes the Creighton Denare Beach areas met in La Ronge last week.  The Board received a presentation on the Homeless Strategy and potential methods of securing funding to aid homelessness initiatives in the region.

A presentation and discussion took place on the availability of medical services and the challenges specific to remote areas.  The information gathered will become part of a one year project with the outcome highlighting physician manpower needed throughout Saskatchewan.

The board approved the ratification of the Memorandum of Agreement with the SAHO- SGEU contract from April 1st, 2012 to March 31st 2017.

The next RHA meeting will be February 26th in Creighton.
