The Flin Flon Primary Health Care Center is presenting a public education session by telehealth on coping with stress. The Heart and Stroke Foundations Northern Outreach Manager Amanda Nash says they will talk about different issues around stress. She explains they know stress is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke and no matter where you live pressures of everyday life can have an impact on your wellbeing. She says everyone has stress in their life so they want to address that and help people minimize their stress and manage their stress through activities like physical activity, meditation, breathing, healthy living and progressive muscle relaxation.
The same session will run twice next Wednesday afternoon from 12 to 1 and 1:30 to 2:30 at the Primary Health Care Center. To register call Robi Lynn at 681-3137 or Joanna at 681-3149.
