Residents of Denare Beach are encouraged to be part of the Village of Lights by putting Christmas lights up by Saturday.  Organizer Maureen McBratney says this is the fifth year for the event and they are asking people to get into the spirit of the season and light up their yard, fence, house, garage, boat and have the lights turned on December 21st between 4 and 10. She says they have a couple of judges that’ll drive around and have a look at the community all lit up and prizes will be awarded the next day at the Christmas party at the Denareplex.

The event is sponsored by the Village of Denare Beach and Bayside Resort.
