Drug charges have been laid in Flin Flon

Between November 28th and 30th the RCMP “D” Division Action Response Team was in Flin Flon to conduct proactive drug enforcement, combat illegal drug trafficking and to monitor high risk prolific offenders. During the three day blitz officers executed search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and two residences were searched resulting in the seizure of 3840 dollars cash and 48 grams of marihuana from a residence on Second Avenue and 1030 dollars cash and 116 grams of marihuana from a residence on Ross Street.

 

Four Flin Flon residents between the ages of 18 and 45 have been charged with possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking.  All have been released and will appear in Flin Flon Provincial Court on January 9th.

 

The DART members included RCMP officers from across the province along with RCMP officers from Creighton, a police service dog from Battleford and officers of the Prince Albert Police Service.
