Schools continue to work on their goals for this year

It’s going to be a busy year at Ecole McIsaac School according to a presentation last night for the Division’s Board of Trustees.  Principal Steve Lytwyn and Vice-Principals Sylvie Dufour and George Trevor appeared before the board with this year’s goals.  Teaching and support staff were all involved in the planning process which will see students achieve academic growth of ninety-five percent.  The administration will strive to maintain a safe and caring school environment and improve overall attendance.  As of last nights meeting attendance at the school was just above 95 percent.  Technology will be further incorporated to improve the student’s academic achievements and the use of professional learning communities at the teaching level will also help students in their learning endeavors.

In other school news the board approved the request from the Hapnot Travel Club to proceed with plans for their trip to Greece in the spring of 2015.  Board chair Murray Skeavington encouraged all families to come out and enjoy the upcoming Christmas concerts.  Hapnot’s jazz, choir and band will be performing tonight at 7 and the junior high band performs their winter concert tomorrow at 7.
