A 12 member team from the Flin Flon Fire Department and other supporters proved growing a mustache can have benefits.  The team took part in Movember growing mustaches to raise funds and awareness of prostate cancer.  Team Captain Darren Romo says their team was smaller than the 25 people they had last year due to other commitments.  He says it went good but not quite as well as it has in the last couple of years.  He says they finished with just over 48 hundred dollars and they finished 17th in the Great Canadian Fire Fighter Challenge.

Romo thanks everyone who supported their team not only this year but in the past two years noting they have raised around 30 thousand dollars for the three years they have participated.
