The 20th annual Christmas Gift Program designed to enable parents to give their children a gift at Christmas when circumstances prevent them from do so is underway at the Flin Flon Friendship Center.  The Center’s Program Events Coordinator Jeremiah Herman says now is the time to register.  He says pretty much anybody can apply if they are going through hard times in the Christmas season.  He says he does request a health card when you pick up your gift which can be for anywhere from newborns to 17 years of age.  Herman notes what’ll happen is you’ll call the Center, make an appointment, he’ll give you a time frame and you’ll come in, pick out a gift and wrap it for your child.

Herman says they also welcome donations for the gift program. You can drop off gifts or cash donations at the Friendship Center at 57 Church Street.
