102.9 CFAR has wrapped up another successful campaign of Snacks For Students which took place for the month of September.
CFAR was able to team up with various business’s in promoting nutricion tips and information on student health.
CFAR Manager Dianne Russell talks about why it is important to continue to take part in this event. " So one of the issues we found when we talk to the schools, is whether it is snacks or school supplies, there is always a group of students that are in need. So we decided to find some interested business's and clients and Raphael Saray did a really good job of that. So this year it was Snacks For Students, and we were able to get a bunch of gift cards for McIsaac, Ruth Betts and Creighton. It just kind of augments the federal program because there are always gaps and we try to fill the gaps."
A total of $450.00 was donated to Creighton, McIsaac and Ruth Betts Schools from various business’s who sponsored on air messages and from community donations.
