Students will have more opportunities in Cranberry Portage

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger has announced students from across the north who come to study and train at Frontier Collegiate will soon have a new 57 thousand square foot campus expansion and receive valuable skills training.  He says they are spending up to 23 million dollars for a new residence so people from all over northern Manitoba can come there and get excellent skills training in the high need jobs in demand in Manitoba but also have a very good place to live.  He says it sort of re-invents the historic role that community has played for many years.

Selinger says the government’s commitment to add 75 thousand workers to the labor force by 2020 starts with ensuring every student can get quality education and training opportunities noting skilled jobs will be needed in developing Manitoba Hydro, in expansion of the mining industry and as other industrial sectors continue to expand.
