There are changes at the Recycling Center

The Flin Flon and District Environment Council advised City Council at their meeting last night they will not be requesting an increase in their per capita rate for the grant to support recycling so the rate will remain at $11.40 per person for next year.

They also advised they are no longer sorting material at the Center but are sending it out for sorting reducing the number of staff they have.

They also expressed concern about the amount of material dropped off at the Center on weekends and asked the city to consider the purchase of two trailers to be placed at convenient locations in the community such as Walmart and a location uptown.  The letter was referred to the finance committee.

Council awarded the contract for demolition for the Willowpark Curling Rink and the number two heating plant to Whitfords and they received the Fire Chiefs report for November indicating there were four incidents during the month.
