The Flin Flon Trout Festival and Chicken Chef will be making a cheque presentation to the four Fire Departments in our area  at Chicken Chef later today at 4pm.

 

These are the proceeds from last month’s Fish Fry which took place at the Chicken Chef parking lot.

 

Trout Festival President Dianne Russell is happy it was all able to come together.

 

“We’re really really proud of the team that did the Fish Fry. We weren’t sure that we would be able to pull it off, especially it being in cooler weather and in the fall and students gone, and yet they did it. Dan at Chicken Chef the whole team of the Fish Fry, I call them the Fish Fry Champions Committee, they just made it work. And we had committed as a Trout Festival all profits, not just a donation, but all profits and so we were really hoping to be able to get the four grand, and with Dan and the Trout working together we sure did, and we’re able to give away a thousand dollars to all four of our very very valuable fire departments.”

 

Cheques will be presented for $1,000.00 each to the Cranberry, Creighton, Denare Beach and Flin Flon Fire Departments to help recognize Fire Prevention Week.
