There are new opportunities opening for our students

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger has announced the investment of almost one million dollars for a new state of the art science lab and Skills Training Center for Hapnot Collegiate.  Selinger says the Center will provide students with valuable training.  He says with this Center students can learn how to be a plumber, a carpenter, a welder, an electrician, learn to do computer aided design or any other skill.  He says the building will be flexible and will be able to be adapted to what the needs are of the community and where the job opportunities are and that will tie into University College of the North and even southern Universities.

The new 60 by 100 foot building is currently under construction in front of the school on Green Street.

Selinger adds their science action plan is ensuring that high school students have access to the best labs and equipment and are taught according to a continually updated science curriculum.
