Northern Neighbors Present Grants To Snow Lake

It turned out to be a very challenging summer for many Northern Manitoba communities due to extreme wildfires.

One organization that really made a difference during some difficult times was the Northern Neighbors Foundation who granted funds  to many communities including Snow Lake who just made it back from their second evacuation.

Shylo Rogers who is the Executive Administrator talks about their recent donation to Snow Lake. " On the return to community, we also in Snow Lake helped set up their Welcome Back Centre. We did a donation for food security on their return. We also donated funds for them to install two filtered water fill stations in the community that anyone has access to at any time. Food security, clean water, help with the fire departments, we are there for what ever any of our communities need. Our five communities are very much intwined, and very much one and we are here for all of them."

In total,  Northern Neighbors granted $46,000.00 to Snow Lake and to date $264,000.00 has been granted to all 5 communities in our region.
