This past Tuesday, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at an address located on Princeton Drive.
Officers immediately responded to the scene and located two victims, a 33-year-old male with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and a 29-year-old female with minor physical injuries. The 33-year-old was transported to hospital and later flown to Winnipeg for further treatment.
Officers were advised that six individuals had broken into the home and assaulted the male victim with a machete and a baseball bat. The suspects caused damage within the property and then fled the scene on foot.
Patrols made in the area led to the arrest of two males, a 22-year-old male from Winnipeg and a 23-year-old male from Thompson. The other suspects were not located.
The 22-year-old, Christopher Dumas, was charged with multiple offenses including aggravated assault with a weapon. The 23 year old was released.
