Flin Flon City Council gathered Tuesday night and were happy to share that the road repairs and paving have been well received from lots of citizens in the community.
The paving is completed and now they are working on the new bus shelters and sidewalks and the new bus should hit the streets in early October.
New lights were added to the sidewalks on Main street and they are l.e.d’s which should last a long time and are cost effective.
The City has a couple of public hearings scheduled including the rezoning of Channing Drive as part of the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday October the 7th. They have also scheduled a separate meeting for the rezoning of Kingsway Park on October the 15th starting at 7pm at Council Chambers.
Mayor Fontaine commented on the CBC crew, Still Standing who were in Flin Flon putting together content for an upcoming tv show. Fontaine was pleased with how they treated the people in the community and looks forward to seeing the finished product when it come out in about 4 or 5 months.
