Creighton Rec and Boreal Gatherings are excited to present Art In The Wild which will be taking place in Saskatchewan this year on Saturday September the 27th.
Christy Janvier who is the Creative Producer and one of the organizers talks about the inspiration behind this event. " It came about with Katie Kozak and myself back in 2020, we were inspired by Theatre In The Bush which happens in the Yukon. Since we both have artistic practises that are a little outside the box, we wanted to create an event for artists here in the North to experiment in their mediums and try new ideas. Maybe they want to try something different , we had some musicians who did a beautiful visual art piece that is now hanging on Main street at the Dembo's Kick It building."
It is a chance for artists to explore and create. They have been able to get funding to help the artists pay for their material as well as pay for the event. Besides a strong contingent of local artists they will have regional artists from The Pas, Churchill and Vancouver.
The event is free to attend and it will start at the Sportex Lounge at 7:30pm and maps will be available
