On September 1st,  Creighton RCMP received a report that a serious assault had occurred at a residence in the Sturgeon Landing area.

 

Officers immediately responded along with local EMS. Investigation determined an adult female assaulted an adult male and a youth in the residence. The adult male was treated at hospital for injuries described as serious in nature. The youth was treated by EMS at the scene for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

 

With the assistance of Provincial Protective Services, an adult female was arrested at the scene. 

 

As a result of continued investigation, 56-year-old Delores Ballantyne is charged with:

 one count, assault with a weapon , one count, assault causing bodily harm, and  one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

 

She is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial  Court later today.
