The Women’s Safe Haven and Resource Centre is bringing back Walk A Mile In Her Shoes later in September, after it had to be postponed due to the wildfires in June.
Allie Klippel a Crisis Councillor Resource Worker tells us they are excited to get a chance to reschedule this event. " So the walk is going to be all our pledges who have signed up and they have collected money for us. They are going to be walking at 5:30, so if you want to see a bunch of men walking in Red shoes , that will be your time to come. Other than the walk, we are going to have a free barbecue, face painting, kids games and live entertainment with a band coming. So it is going to be an all around family event."
It will take place on Friday September the 26th starting at 5:30pm at Pioneer Square , and the event is held to promote men standing up against violence against women and girls. If you would like to participate you can call the Safe Haven at 204-681-3105.
