Starting Today, a large section of 3rd Avenue will be closed between the Hundred Stairs/Callahan Lane and Ross Street in order to install pipe lining into the storm sewer.

The section of road will be closed throughout the long weekend, and will re-open mid-week.

Residents driving in the area can detour via Hill Street, Fourth Avenue, and Ross Street, or via Highway #10.

The storm sewer upgrade will help reduce drainage complications, extending the life of the sewer drain and reducing the work needed to keep it maintained over the long term.

Once the storm sewer is upgraded, they  can begin re-paving!
