The most recent City Beat show aired this past Thursday on CFAR and Councillor Bill Hanson was in studio to chat about the recent upgrades to Flin Flon’s roads.

Councillor Hanson also commented on the new transit bus which will start to operate in September. " Well we just received our new Transit Bus and for the first time ever it has a wheelchair ramp, so we can accomodate people with disabilities. It is here and is currently being inspected and saftied. We are also starting some really impactful improvements to our Transit Infrastructure as well. We are putting up a bunch of new sidewalks, a bunch of new shelters and there will be a new sidewalk going from the Candy Bar East going up the hill. We will be putting in a new stop right by MTS on the corner where the bus stop is now, but there is going to be an actual shelter there."

Hanson also talked about other upgrades around  the community including the city workers fixing water leaks, painting curbs and are looking forward to the tv show Still Standing coming to Flin Flon in early  September. You can listen to this past week’s entire show at flinflononline.com.
