Denare Beach Residents Continue To Press Provincial Government For Answers

The people of Denare Beach gathered together in the community for a press conference this past Monday as they continue to reach out to the Provincial  government for support and answers as to their handling of the Wolf Fire that ravaged through the community in June.

Among those in attendance were Carla Beck the Provincial leader of the NDP and Jordan McPhail the MLA for Cumberland.

Local resident Dustin Trumbley who was a victim of the fire losing his home, garage and business spoke at the press conference  and says they are still waiting for answers.

" The wildfire victims need to stand up and take a stand to get accountabillity from the Premier Scott Moe, Tim McCloud, and the SPSA. There are so many questions that need answers from very hurt people right now and people that are not doing good mentally right now. We just want to ask questions and I don't think we are angry we are just hurt and we want to know what happened and why it happened. We want to know why we were left to burn because that is literally how we all feel and we don't matter. "

Trumbley went on to say that the village has banded together and appreciate the support from everyone in the area and  they will continue to send out e-mails and call out the Provincial Government until they show up and take some accountability.
