The City of Flin Flon is ready to start their summer paving projects and are a few weeks behind due to the wildfire evacuation.

Crews from Maple Leaf Construction will be starting road milling work on Monday in preparation for re-paving.

The milling will result in road closures and detours over the next few days in the following areas:

* Third Avenue, near Rotary Park
* Third Avenue Hill
* Ross Street Hill (from 36 to 82 Ross Street)
* Green Street (between the intersections of Steventon and Phelan)
* Half of Anderson Street

Once milling is completed, the roads will be opened until paving operations begin, but motorists will need to drive with caution on the rough surfaces and asphalt drop-offs.
