Here is the latest on the Snow Lake fire situation updated earlier today on the Town of Snow Lake Facebook page.

 

Rain has been falling in Snow Lake since approximately 3:00 a.m. today, assisting ongoing firefighting efforts. In town, crews are working to remove ground-based sprinkler systems and value protection units as part of demobilization activities.

 

Updated information regarding remote ice shacks:

 

Herb Lake – Ice shacks on the east side of the lake have been lost.

McLeod Lake – Ice shacks on the south side remain standing; those further down the lake near the first jump over have been lost.

Squall Lake – No information available at this time.
