Adult and Teen Challenge in Flin Flon are preparing for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, the annual Rubber Duck Race on Saturday September the 6th at the Wallace street bridge starting with a barbecue at noon and the race at 1pm.
Development Director Kandie Lagore tells us where this year’s proceeds will be going. " We just wanted to say that we are extremely thankful for everyone that has already purchased tickets and some people are buying tickets for their families and friends for gifts. We appreciate the support in helping us sell out the event. As you probably know our centre burned down with the Wolf fire and the proceeds from this will help us with our restart. We have plans not just to have a residence for our students but to open a Thrift store."
Tickets are $40.00 each and can be purchased at the Gateway, Northern Rainbow’s End and Alexander’s. You can also get tickets online by scanning the QR code on the poster which is located all over town. Great prizes will be awarded once again including a 2025 Polaris Ranger 750 valued at $16,000.00 for first place.
