A Senior came forward to the Flin Flon Aqua Centre Fundraising Committee a number of months ago , challenging all seniors in our community to donate to the new swimming pool.
The Senior’s Challenge was created and a draw was created for everyone who made a donation. The draw had to be postponed due to the wildfires back in June and will now happen at the next City Council meeting on Tuesday August the 19th. Karen MacKinnon explains what the prizes are .
" It is the draw for the first ever annual pool pass, so who ever wins can win that or It Takes A Village Quilt that was donated by the Northstar Quilt Guild. The third prize is a Randy Whitbread Print donated by Randy and Dianne Whitbread."
You can still make a donation right up until August the 18th by sending an e-mail to webuildweswim@gmail.com. Over ten thousand dollars has been donated so far.
