Here is the latest on the wildfire activity  around the town of  Snow Lake.

A release was issued by the community earlier today.

Crews continued mop-up operations along Highway 395 overnight, addressing flare-ups in the areas around New Brit and Purple Sandy. Suppression efforts remained steady, with patrols monitoring for new activity throughout the evening.

Looking ahead, cooler temperatures are forecasted for the coming days, with a chance of rain in the region. These conditions are expected to support firefighting efforts and provide some relief to crews working across the fire zones.
