Lalor Mine was evacuated last night due to the wildfire activity in close proximity to the mine site. Wildfire response teams were working alongside local firefighting crews.

At latest video inspection the main front of the fire has past the Lalor Mine site and shown preventative measures have limited damage to the site.

Once it is safe to do so Hudbay will perform a thorough inspection of their assets. Fire crews remain to monitor the situation. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
