Ombudsman Saskatchewan will be in our community this week. Staff will hear concerns for residents of Flin Flon, SK, Creighton and Denare Beach. Communications Director Leila Dueck discusses what their organization does.

 

“The Provincial Ombudsman receives complaints from the public about concerns they may have about all sorts of different provincial and municipal government services. Those responses that we provide can range from listening, which is where it always starts.

 

In this fire fight season, we have tried our best to provide support in terms of referrals, and where we’re just helping people to find out who they should deal with, or maybe how to resolve some roadblocks if they’re running into something that’s making service slower or they aren’t getting the responses they think they should get.

 

And then, all the way down to investigations and more formal processes so we…we do quite a range.”
