The Primary Health Care will be recognizing World Hepatitis Day later this week with a get together at the Primary Health Centre Parking Lot.
Logan Church from the Play It Safer Network talks about the history around the event and what will be happening in Flin Flon.
“...so World Hepatitis Day is actually on July 28th every year. But this year we’re celebrating on the 24th here in Flin Flon.
And it’s just a day to raise awareness...the different treatments that are offered, recognize it, spread awareness, create the conversation and kind of normalize it.
And so here in Flin Flon, on the 24th, we are going to be holding an event in the parking lot at the Primary Health Care Centre. We’re going to have a BBQ, we’re going to be playing some games, there’s going to be some Hepatitis myth busters...”
It takes place between 1 and 2:30 this Thursday and there will also be prizes and swag, so everyone is invited to stop by and take part.
