Here is the latest on the Snow Lake Wildfire situation from the Town Of Snow Lake.

 

Fire 53 (Osborne Lake)

Fire 53 had a small amount of growth on the north side of the fire. Helibuckets and IA crew continued to progress around the southwest corner of the fire.

Mexican crews will be returning from days of rest today to assist suppression efforts on the fire.

 

 

Fire 52 (Cook Lake)

Fire 52 started to show more signs of life yesterday with intermittent torching.

Crews continued building more control lines on the Northeast side of the fire with assistance of Heli buckets.

 

The fire saw limited growth due to constant aerial suppression efforts, but is putting off a lot more smoke due to fuels inside the main burn line beginning to dry up and ignite.

 

Mexican crews will be returning from days of rest today to assist suppression efforts on the fire.
