The CBC show Still Standing has rescheduled their original date to come into the community of Flin Flon and film an episode.
It was originally supposed to take place in June but with the evacuation due to the wildfires the new date Is September the 8th and 9th.
Flin Flon Rec Director Cait Bailey is excited to have the opportunity to showcase our community. " We are excited to have then here and the premise of the entire show is that they pick a community that has gone through something . Whether that is the end of a business in the area with things changing like Hudbay, and how the community is pushing through. Obviously Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach went through something very traumatic this summer as well with our wildfire situation. I think it continues to prove a point about how we are a great choice for the filming and we are excited to have them back at the beginning of September."
The show is hosted by comedian Jonny Harris and he will be visiting with people and organizations in Flin Flon and area and will also be doing a stand up comedy show.
