For the second time this summer the 600 residents who live in Lynn Lake will have to evacuate the community.
Wildfire activity continues to pose a threat to the community after residents returned just two weeks ago.
The town issued an evacuation order on their facebook page last night, saying a mandatory evacuation would begin today. They are concerned that the fire which is 20km away from the community could damage their main hydro transmission line.
This would leave the town unable to maintain essential services which could last at least a month.
Hot, dry conditions and shifting winds are forecast for the next two or three days, worsening wildfire activity and increasing the risk to infrastructure, the town said.
Buses will be running today which will help residents leave the community.
