People in Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan continue to deal with the wildfire situation that has brought a significant amount of destruction to Denare Beach.

Flin Flon MLA Tom Lindsay is calling for unity for the three communities including Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach and is adamant that  we have to find a way to erase these provincial  borders. " I think we can learn a lot from this and I hope we do, what I said earlier about having conversations of everybody coming together. I don't care who you pay taxes to, we are all the same community here, whether it is Northern Affairs, the parks, Creighton, Denare Beach. We should all be sitting at the table together, planning for these  events. Not just economic stuff, but all of this stuff as we need to form one group that has central command structure to it so we can address this going forward. We need to make sure we don't get into this boat again where we have help and they don't, we need to figure this out."

Lindsay went on to say that he and the Cumberland MLA Jordan McPhail will be sitting down soon and will be  trying to come up with solutions to figure all this out.
