The Club fire continues to burn very close to Flin Flon and Creighton and has grown dramatically in size over night.
The City of Flin Flon, Town of Creighton, SPSA, RCMP and Resources all met at 11am today to evaluate the situation.
Creighton Mayor Bruce Fiddler says additional help is being brought in. "Well over night the fire did grow substantially and it is apporoximately 10,000 hectares now. But the winds are still in our favour and are moving to the north east into the Manitoba side. There are both Manitoba and Saskatchewan fire fighters working and I am understanding that they have put a call in for outside fire fighters to come in. There has been confirmation of crews coming in from the far north and that will be a bonus."
