The Flin Flon Lions Club held their annual Dog Walk this past Sunday at Flinty’s Boardwalk.
Jan Nichol the local chairperson is very happy with the turn out and the support they got from the community. " It was a great day and it was sunny and the dogs were well groomed and they showed up for the walk and dog show. We also had the garage sale that was very successful. Everybody was well behaved with the dogs who were all on leashes and it went well. We raised over $15,00.00 for the Lions Foundation of Canada for Dog Guides. I would like to give a big thank you to Dave Gunn for supplying the tent and also to all the businesses who donated to our event."
Around 25 people came out and a big thanks to Bev Spence from Cranberry who raised almost $600.00 herself in donations. The Lions Club look forward to seeing you out for their barbecue during National Indigenous People’s Day on June 21st.
