Flin Flon is looking forward to getting everything all spruced up for the summer and are hosting the Great Community Cleanup tonight at Pioneer Square.
Kacper Antoszewski who is the Public Affairs and Engagement Manager for the City Of Flin Flon looks forward to getting out with the community.
" Starting at 5pm we are basically going to be cleaning up downtown and throughout the community. City Councillors are going to be out there, I am going to be out there and some of our directors are going to be out there. We will be helping pick up garbage downtown and throughout the community. We will have a couple councillors on the grill serving up hotdogs and beverages. We will have bags and gloves on hand to pick up the litter."
If you can’t make it tonight , you can still pick up garbage bags and gloves from City Hall at any time starting today to help clean up our parks, roadways, and downtown areas whenever you have some time to spare.
When you’re done, tie up the bags and leave them right where you finished, call City Hall front desk at 1- 833-210-6435, and let them know where you left them, and the Works and Operations team will come pick them up for you!
The city will also be waving the tipping fees at the Flin Flon Landfill between May the 17th and June 1st.
