At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting an announcement was made that the City will hold their Financial Budget meeting on Thursday May the 22nd starting at 7pm.
Copies of the budget are available at City Hall or by going online.
The City also announced that they will be holding a public hearing on the possible rezoning of Kingsway Park on Tuesday June the 3rd at 6:30 pm just before the regular City Council meeting. Anyone interested will be able to come out and voice their concerns.
Deputy Mayor Alison Dallas Funk commented that the City is very excited about the CBC show Still Standing that is coming to Flin Flon to do a documentary on the community in June.
Funk commented that she believes the awareness of this show will help the community with tourism and economic development.
The community is encouraged to come out to Pioneer Square in Flin Flon this Monday May the 12th for a community cleanup between 5 and 7pm.
Hot dogs and drinks will be supplied as we join our community partners and help clean up Flin Flon’s downtown. All the supplies will be provided including gloves and garbage bags.
Construction on the new sidewalks and bus shelters will start very soon and the new city bus will be on the road in September.
