Jim Lemaigre who is running for the Conservatives in Monday’s federal election for  the Desnethe Missinippi Region was in Northern Saskatchewan on Tuesday.

Desnethe Missinippi represents 39 different communities including Creighton and Denare Beach and Lemaigre was able to meet with many different organizations and groups to find out what issues are important to people in this riding.  " Cost of living is a significant area that people have brought up. A shortage of housing and over crowding and mental health and addictions. If we arn't healthy then it is really tough to mainitain life, so there is a lot of discussion around that. Economic  opportunity, what can we do so people can be employed and look after themselves."

Lemaigre is a member of the Clear Water Dene Nation just north of La Loche . He is also a former RCMP Constable in multiple Saskatchewan communities and served as the Saskatchewan Party representative for the 2022 by-election for the Athabaska region.
