The Central Canada Film Group will be celebrating a coast to coast event locally. The organization’s Tom Heine gives us the details
“National Canada Film Day is a cross Canada celebration of Canadian films and, believe it or not, there are a lot of good ones out there. We are pleased to have a copy of Maria Chapdelaine, it’s a classic coming of age story...if you know Quebecois literature at all, it’s one of the classics. The photography is excellent.”
The movie Maria Chapdelaine was nominated for 5 Canadian Screen Awards. The film will be shown tomorrow as a part of National Film Day with a presentation at the Hapnot Theatre at 7:30. It is free to the public.
