Flin Flon Parks and Rec are looking forward to summer time and have applied for lots of grants to bring as many jobs and services to the Flin Flon area.

Flin Flon Rec Director Cait Bailey mentions the different grants and projects they have on the go.  " Some grants that we have applied for and are waiting for confirmation on include some life saving Society grants,  so we will be able to offer a couple swimming lessons over the summer. We are also going to be offering Life Guard training.  If you have kids at home or you used to be a Life Guard , or teenagers in high school looking for something to do. Keep your eyes out because we are going to offering Life Guard training courses. We also have a grant to help us purchase an accessible bike that is going to be awesome, and be available for the public to use so people can get out and experience the trails and summer weather." 

They will also be doing an upgrade and repairs to the Duck Pond area. Flin Flon was successful in getting A From The Ground Up Grant and they will be building  a new playground for the Centennial Park area. Construction will start this summer.
