The Imagine Northern Team has returned after a visit with the Manitoba Lieutenant Governor Anita Neville, where 8 different communities in the North were able to talk about the Arts programs in their different communities.
Crystal Woodward was there to represent Flin Flon and tells us that a lot of progress was made for these northern communities.
“The main focus of the lieutenant dinner was to identify all the work that has been going in towards the Imagine Northern. So we’ve got, you know, around 8 champions from all of the locations in the North. And actually, like every one of us were able to make it. And that was really awesome because we got to talk to each other about our goals and our future and what lies ahead of us and make our connections. And then we had introductions from our new program lead and coordinator from Imagine Northern, which is Fiona and Roy.”
Woodward also said they are moving forward on all the specific locations to get funding so they can continue to make connections and showcase all the Art’s Programs right across the North including Flin Flon.
