The Flin Flon Chamber Of Commerce gathered Tuesday afternoon at the Flin Flon Friendship Centre and the special guest speaker was Jamie Grant who is the Associate Vice President of UCN.

Grant gave an update on the addition of student residence for the new site in Flin Flon.  " So the great news is that our site is ready to go and it has all been levelled and buildings will be arriving in Flin Flon starting early  next week. We have an installation crew starting to come to Flin Flon Thursday to start to prep the site, the pads, the blocking and everything for the modular dorms coming in. It is anticipated the units will be fully fuctional student ready by July."

Besides the 30 rooms for student housing there will also be a Rec Facility and a Commercial Kitchen. This will be a major step in helping expand more programs for the  Flin Flon area. If you require more information you can contact the Northern Manitoba Mining Academy at 204-687-7038.
